The sap season is finished.
God provided one of our best crops thus far since we knocked in our first tap back in 2018. The upgrades and adjustments we made early on in the season paid off and we had very minimal issues or break downs this season.
But planning and implementation have already begun for tap expansion, upgrades and improvements for 2024 season! We are excited for what next season will bring.
This week we batched maple sugar to stock the farm store shelves.
There is nothing better than the smell of maple sugar emanating the farm kitchen.
Just another friendly reminder that spring has sprung and the flowers, ramps and fiddleheads are poking out of the ground.
The day we pulled taps we had close to 70 degree weather, which is unseasonably hot for this far north. I can’t remember a time during my childhood that we lost all snow pack within three days? It went wicked fast!
We now have our Maple Sugar and Wood Fired Maine Maple Syrup available in the farm store.
Limited Edition batches of Jalapeno infused and Peach Brandy oak barrel aged wood fired Maine maple syrup is also available.
Wild Ramps and Fiddleheads are in the process of being harvested and freeze dried, look for those to be available in the store by the end of May.
Now that all the fun is over…I’ll be putting on my fencing gloves and digging holes for fence posts.
