RJ and I started tapping the sugar bush this morning.
As we entered the bush, a hazy fog lay like a blanket in between the trees as if they were snuggling together to stay warm. The morning air was seasonally warm (30 degrees), but didn’t seem like the sun was going to burn through, until around 0930, we could see the sun as a little yellow ball in the sky making its presence known. Thirty minutes later a bowling ball called the sun hit the clouds and boom they were all gone and the sugar bush was awash with a bright warm sun and deep blue sky.
The sap was flowing as we left the bush for the day to go grab some hard worked for lunch at the farm house. Here is to a great start of the season! God bless you all!
